Maryland House Adds $20 Million for MedEvac Helicopters
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Maryland House of Delegates has set aside $20 million in the state's capital budget to help replace helicopters in an aging Medevac fleet.
Last year, the state included $52 million in the capital budget.
Delegate John Bohanan, D-St. Mary's, says the additional money helps give the state more buying power as it negotiates with vendors to buy helicopters.
The Senate did not set the money aside for helicopters, so the two chambers will have to negotiate whether to set the money aside.
