Becoming a flight paramedic??

I have been interested HEMS for about 4 years now, and am determined this is going to become my career path.

Now here is my main question.
I am 16, live in central Texas area, and could possibly get grants and scholarships if needed. So as of now, money is not an issue.
What is a good EMT/Paramedic training academy in the area? for starters?

Then.... once I get into the advanced levels.... what schools in the region/state would be optimal to attend? What degrees would be preferred?
